Start the New Year with a bang! New Year’s Day in Dublin can be a quiet day but not in 2008. The city streets will become a vast public stage as hundreds of talented musicians take part in the Lord Mayor of Dublin New Year’s Day Parade and all to a fusion of Abba tunes!
The Parade will begin on Parnell Street North and go up O'Connell Street where all of the bands will stop and perform an Abba medley for the Lord Mayor outside the GPO. The bands will then continue up Westmorland Street, onto Dawson Street and finish at the Mansion House where they will all perform together before dispersing.
